Writer's Block: Your 15 Minutes

If you had your own reality show, what would it be called? What would it be about?
Internet Wars.

Oddly, I've recently joked about this with my co-workers.  We live in a town of about 1,400 and only in the main stretch of town is DSL or any type of reliable internet available.  The rest of the county (I'd estimate 4,000 people... but I'm not sure) still relies on dial-up and satellite for their services.

The company I work for (along with two or three others) decided to start a line of sight based wireless service so these people can get faster internet... and the show would be about the competing wireless companies.  There's actually a lot of tension between us and the other providers, and some have even played "dirty" from time to time.  Might actually be an entertaining show.

Catherine

I'm not typically a puzzle gamer, but I decided Catherine would be a game for me after I read a bit about the story and socialization aspect of the game. I'm really glad I tried it out because the puzzles are something new and very challenging. I'm pretty sure I was banging my head on the wall after every-frequent-failure.

The story line is also interesting, but frustrating at the same time. Basically you're getting nightmares through the whole game because you cheated on your girlfriend. I wonder if this game was developed by a group of women. Hah!

I should go to the doctor soon

Nothing life threatening, I just have a small (?) list of things I need taken care of. I've always been terrified of going to medical establishments, and I think the only reason I'm actually writing this out is because it's late. And because I need to read this later.

First off - My whole left side of my face. Well... my sinuses and ears at least. I've had a swollen lymph node under my jaw for probably three months now, and I'm almost 100% sure it's from an ear infection. My ear has been going back and forth between clogged and unclogged for at least two years now, and I've been cleaning it out with peroxide when it actually impacts my hearing. Because of this I have a terrible fear of flying because I think I'm going to rupture my ear drum due to a blocked Eustachian tube. My last flight, I wore ear-plugs because apparently that eases and slows the pressure change on either side of the ear drum. I also clamped my hands over my ears while taking off and landing to further the effect (though I'm sure it did nothing)

Second - I have fangs I'd like aligned with the rest of my teeth. Apparently because I have a small mouth, there isn't enough space for my teeth. I need braces or Invisalign or something so I can be confident while smiling.

Third - Morphea. I really need to at least try the laser removal since no creams have worked. I love my body other than the fact I have this disease, and it makes me really, really self-conscious when I'm in a bikini. I'm always terrified people think my boyfriend beats me or something.

PS: I'm not a hypochondriac. Promise.

First Cosplay? You Bet

This weekend I went to Hobby Lobby and bought tons of items required for my first cosplay. I'm planning on doing a Golden Saint from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion since I've been in an Elder Scrolls kick lately (must be because Skyrim is around the corner).

Items I Bought:
Craft Foam
Metallic Gold Spray Paint
TONS of Elmer's glue
Fabric glue
Heavy-duty scissors
Amethyst rocks
Posterboard
Ball-point pen
X-Acto knife

And probably stuff I'm forgetting.

I already ran into my first issue trying to make a feminine looking cuirass. Boobies are a problem (even though I don't have much) but hopefully when I mess around enough I'll be able to make a decent pattern to work with. Craft foam is cheap enough, at least.

I'll update this thing with pictures as I continue forth.

Making a pattern. It looks huge because it's closer to the camera than I am; it's actually pretty tight.

Puerto Vallarta

Was fantastic.

Seriously. After having a full time job for a year (finally! Go me!) having five days with no worries meant a lot. I got to see a tequila distillery, lay on the beach, tan, take PICTURES...

The plane ride back was a little suckish because the layover flight got delayed by over four hours. Got into St. Louis a little after three and by the time we made it back through luggage claims and to home, it was 7AM.

One of my favorite images I took.

PS: Let's Tweet.

SUSHI

I. Am. Craving. It. Now.

Boyfriend doesn't get off work until 6 so probably no food until after 7. (It's only 2)

Also, what's with these games on Livejournal? Turning into the Facebook?

Bah!

I need to become motivated and update this more. I did start a project365... Maybe I'll blog with it.

my Project365

PS: Typing HTML on the iPhone sucks.

I'm Such a Crappy Blogger

I should stop even trying. :[
So... I just started reading the Sookie Stackhouse series.

I think I'm going to like it a lot!
What's the one thing you would most want to improve when it comes to your laptop or computer?

I definitely need a new CPU. My lovely little Q6600 just isn't enough for Starcraft II. Silly Blizzard, and making their games only utilize two cores of the CPU when mine has FOUR!

The rest of my PC, I'm pretty happy with... though I am planning an upgrade for next year.

PS: I don't normally answer these, but my geekiness got the best of me.
